SF Neo-Futurists

30 original plays in 60 minutes, ranging from the personal, to the political, to the profoundly WTF, all truthful and inspired by the lived experiences of the performers.

Every Friday & Saturday, 9:00 PM. See the show the SF Chronicle calls one of "22 San Francisco things everyone must do!”

Crash Course Level 2: Neo-Futurist Performance

Do it like the Neos do…

We’re excited to get you on stage! We are bringing you a workshop specifically designed to go beyond our other crash courses and offer a deeper dive into Neo-Futurist play structures, collaboration, feedback, directing, and ultimately lead to a performance that very same night. In a few hours, we’ll take you from a small idea all the way to a HUGE (about 2-minutes) play! We’re proud to offer this with priority to our BIPOC community with the aim to get more diverse voices ON STAGE.

Saturday February 28
Workshop @ 3:30pm
Performance @ 9:00pm

This workshop is for BIPOC artists who have completed our Crash Course in Neo-Futurism. Participants without the prerequisite may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

BIPOC Takeover at The Infinite Wrench!

Did you know that—for the first time in our ensemble's history—we have more BIPOC artists than white artists??? Yeah. We know. A secret too well kept. But not anymore, bb.

All month long—the entire month of March—we're flipping The Infinite Wrench and serving it BIPOC TAKEOVER style. Same beloved chaos. Same beautiful mess. Same show that's never actually the same show. But now? Every single performance features an all-BIPOC cast.

And because we love a little extra sauce, every Saturday comes with special guest openers. PLUS—on the negative one day of March (2/28, obviously)—we're kicking things off with a very special Level 2 Crash Course, culminating in an opening performance that very night.

Come be in the room with us.

We care about everyone in our Bay Area community, so in the spirit of solidarity, we are pleased to offer monthly mask-mandatory performances of The Infinite Wrench on an ongoing basis! On first Saturdays of each month, we will require audience members to stay masked throughout the show. (We may invite select audience members to unmask for plays that involve audience participation.) On our end, we continue our practice of testing all performers weekly for COVID-19 to keep folks safer.

If you need a mask, we’ll have extra on hand. All you need to bring are the 🏄 good vibes 😎.

Upcoming Masked Shows: March 7

We’re looking for Check-In Volunteers!

Want to help the Neos AND get free tickets for yourself and a friend? Come be a Check-In Volunteer—help us get audience members checked in at the door! It’s a great way to support the company and get an inside look at our work.

No experience necessary! We’ll give you all the training you need, and you sign up for only the nights that work for you.

Press quotes about the San Francisco Neo-Futurists

“For their ferocious commitment to the new, their openness to the imagination, their unvarnished honesty and can-do pep, they’re an underground power generator in an art form no one should ever deride as ‘dying’ so long as they’re fighting the seconds ticking by.”
– Lily Janiak (SF Chronicle)

“Each night will have a tiny play that makes you cry, howl with laughter, question your assumptions and feel a little uncomfortable.”
